CRESTOR is a very effective cholesterol lowering medication.
A large clinical study showed that CRESTOR can reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events.2* Find out more below.
CRESTOR is from a class of medicines called statins.
CRESTOR is a tablet that is taken once daily, at any time of the day. It acts to block a process in the liver that is involved in the production of cholesterol. By limiting cholesterol production, CRESTOR lowers the total amount of cholesterol that ends up in the bloodstream, and also specifically acts to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise HDL (good) cholesterol.3
Talk to your doctor to see if CRESTOR is suitable for you
You may also be able to take the CRESTOR Challenge. This allows you to try CRESTOR free† for two weeks, to see if it helps you reach your cholesterol goal. CRESTOR usually delivers 90% of its effect in the first two weeks.3
*CRESTOR 20mg has been shown to reduce the risk of heart events. This was shown in a large clinical trial called JUPITER which included 18,000 people with no history of previous cardiovascular events and who had low to moderate LDL (bad) cholesterol. CRESTOR 20mg reduced LDL by 50%, and also reduced the relative risk of major cardiovascular events by 44%.2
